yǒu nǚ tónɡ chē 、 yán rú shùn huá 。
有  女 同   车  、 颜  如 舜   华  。
jiānɡ áo jiānɡ xiánɡ 、 pèi yù qiónɡ jū 。
将    翱 将    翔    、 佩  玉 琼    琚 。
bǐ měi mènɡ jiānɡ 、 xún měi qiě dōu 。
彼 美  孟   姜    、 洵  美  且  都  。

There is the lady in the carriage [with him],
With the countenance like the flower of the ephermeral hedge-tree.
As they move about,
The beautiful Ju-gems of her girdle-pendant appear.
That beautiful eldest Jiang,
Is truly admirable and elegant.

有  女 同   行   、 颜  如 舜   英   。
jiānɡ áo jiānɡ xiánɡ 、 pèi yù jiānɡ jiānɡ 。
将    翱 将    翔    、 佩  玉 将    将    。
bǐ měi mènɡ jiānɡ 、 dé yīn bú wànɡ 。
彼 美  孟   姜    、 德 音  不 忘   。

There is the young lady walking [with him],
With a countenance like the ephermeral blossoms of the hedge-tree.
As they move about,
The gems of her girdle-pendant tinkle.
Of that beautiful eldest Jiang,
The virtuous fame is not to be forgotten.
